SECME | Diversity in STEM education

What is SECME?

 

SECME is a national strategic alliance to renew and strengthen the professional capacity of K-12 educators, motivate and mentor students, and empower parents so that all students can learn and achieve at higher levels. SECME encourages K-12 students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through partnerships with local universities, government and industry agents. M-DCPS SECME hosts an annual engineering Olympiad for secondary schools and an Engineering Festival for elementary schools. 

Currently, SECME in Miami-Dade County Public Schools reaches more than 100 schools (K-12) and directly impacts over 2,000 students.
